WHO WE ARE

Demonstration
Environment Activists Protest

We are a small group of high school students looking to bring awareness about certain environmental issues that face our planet. But was truly distinguishes the Environmental Action Club is that we take decisive ACTION locally to improve environmental conditions within our communities.

With the help of our legendary scientific marvel, Mr. Cappuccio, we explore the realms of earth science and educate our community about the harmful effects of global warming on our environment. We believe that education about our planet Earth is the only way to slow the spread of climate change. Time is running out, and as students and next-generation leaders we believe that it is our duty to lead the movement to preserve our environment.

But we also understand that education must be supplemented by real ACTION. Although we may not be able to stop other countries from contributing to global warming, we know that we can bring about change locally and within the Morris Hills community. Change is possible, but it must start with each individual taking the challenge in their own hands. Humans will not be able to adapt to climate change, but need to address it first-hand. The knowledge is here and the time to act is now; what we do today will either pay dividends down the road or accelerate us further into a runaway greenhouse effect.

WHAT WE DO

At the EAC, our commitment to taking action through our community outreaches, whether this be cleanups at local landmarks, "green" campaigns at Morris Hills, or garden work on campus. We educate others by collectively writing research papers and articles about climate change and reaching out to other environmental groups to have discussions about how we can preserve our local environment. Our research papers cover a variety of topics, from the benefits of nuclear energy to the different types of greenhouse gases. Feel free to check out our latest and previous articles under "Articles."
